“The Uncommon Beauty of Smoke” – poem by Gary Picard

from memory

She was of uncommon beauty

with Tinker Bell like looks

slight cleft chin

large brown eyes

unblemished skin

soft mouth

breasts of mystery…

Her curvaceous waist flowed into

firm round buttocks

no artist would do Her justice

graceful as water over stones, She walked

the personification of feminine beauty

like smoke

uncommon beauty is fleeting

and it haunts me.
